SPAL are reportedly considering the axe for Coach Leonardo Semplici, targeting Edy Reja and Gianni De Biasi.

The 50-year-old tactician was the mastermind behind their ascent into Serie A for the first time since the 1960s, winning the Serie B title last term ahead of Hellas Verona and Benevento.

The Spallini now sit third from bottom after three wins, eight draws and 12 defeats.

According to some reports, the Ferrara club is considering a change of management to shake things up, though Semplici has been in charge since December 2014.

The most likely candidates if SPAL do go for a change are Reja and De Biasi.

Former Atalanta and Lazio boss Reja has been a free agent for around a year and is semi-retired.

De Biasi resigned from his role with the Albania national team and had a very brief spell at Alaves in Spain.
