SPAL have announced that director of sport Davide Vagnati has left the club by mutual consent after seven years together.
He had first joined the side when they were in Serie C in the summer of 2013, proving a crucial element in their climb up to the top flight for the first time in five decades.
The club released a statement praising Vagnati for their achievements together during this period and wishing him all the best for his future endeavours.

“We achieved remarkable success: promotion from Lega Pro to Serie B and Lega Pro Supercup victory (2015-16), promotion from Serie B to Serie A (2016-17), two consecutive stable seasons in Serie A (2017-18 and 2018-19).”
Vagnati is widely expected to sign for Torino.
