SPAL have confirmed the sacking of Daniele De Rossi, but Radja Nainggolan suggests he is not considering leaving, blaming journalists on Instagram.
The Serie B side have confirmed De Rossi is no longer their coach after the team suffered three consecutive defeats in Serie B.
SPAL have confirmed the decision through an official statement. They had hired De Rossi four months ago, but the ex-Italy international only won three of his 16 league games in charge, drawing six and losing seven.
De Rossi’s staff also leaves SPAL, as confirmed by the club owned by Joe Tacopina.
There were reports that Radja Nainggola, who had joined the team as a free agent in January, reuniting with his former Roma teammate, would also leave Ferrara following De Rossi’s exit, but the ex-Roma and Inter midfielder denied rumours with an explicit Instagram story.
“As usual, journalists speak with their a**. From what I’ve read, they decide my future. Pathetic.”
The 34-year-old scored and assisted in his SPAL debut on February 4 but could not avoid a 4-3 loss at home.
