SPAL considered the future of coach Daniele De Rossi after their 4-3 loss to Bari but decided to stick by the former Roma midfielder.

The 39-year-old Italian took over at the Ferrara outfit back in October and has faced numerous difficulties in his first head coaching role, picking up just three wins from his first 15 league outings.

De Rossi also made headlines after clearly expressing his anger with SPAL’s management for their work in the January transfer window, complaining about the lack of collaboration in looking for targets.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, SPAL president Joe Tacopina has full trust in De Rossi and has no intention of replacing him in the coming weeks, even if the club do sit 17th in the Serie B table after 23 games.

The former Roma midfielder now has to work on turning things around in Ferrara to try and distance the team from a possible relegation battle.
