Spain have called up Brais Mendez and Bryan Gil to replace injured Pedri and Marcos Llorente in the Nations League squad to face Italy.

They will take on Italy at San Siro in the Nations League semi-final on October 6.

The winners will then face either France or Belgium on October 10, with the losers in the third-place final.

Luis Enrique called up 23 players, but has already lost two of them to injury.

Pedri pulled out with a problem, replaced by Brais Mendez of Celta Vigo.

Now Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente has also been ruled out, so Tottenham Hotspur’s Bryan Gil was promoted from the Under-21 squad.

Italy have also been forced into a change, bringing in Moise Kean from Juventus to replace Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile.

Over 31,000 tickets have already been sold for Italy’s match against Spain, with circa 2,000 still up for grabs, as the stadiums are only open at 50 per cent capacity due to COVID restrictions.
