Minister of Sports Vincenzo Spadafora works ‘to reopen stadiums as soon as possible’ but says the current statistics means ‘it’s still too early’.

During the Gazzetta Awards ceremony, the Minister of Sport was asked about the reopening of stadiums, closed since the lockdown in March.

It seemed to be gradually reopening at the start of the season, when 1,000 spectators were allowed to enter until another review of the situation in October.

During the Gazzetta Awards ceremony, the Minister of Sport was asked about the reopening of stadiums, closed since the lockdown in March.

Spadafora has stressed they are working with the CTS to reopen, but the current statistics of the pandemic won’t allow him to make an announcement.

“We are working with the CTS for a reopening as soon as possible,” he said. “Even if it’s still too early with the numbers that are there.

“I won’t make any announcements.”
