Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora has reiterated that Serie A must have a Plan B in case ‘things get worse’.
The Minister of Sport said the government have given their word to help out but stressed the respective Leagues must prepare for emergency.
“The government has pledged to intervene to support the activities that will be blocked, but we hope it won’t happen,” Spadafora told Il Mattino. “However, facing a difficult situation, the risks should not be underestimated.

“Just to avoid a default, I reiterated that all Leagues must be ready for a Plan B if things get worse.
Spadafora said the current protocol already includes the widely discussed bubble.
“The current protocol already provides for a bubble in the event of a positive team member. It’s up to the teams to respect it and I don’t think it has always happened.
“The protocol is very strict, if applied, and I remind you that this is the minimum required of the teams, who can independently decide even stricter rules: going forward without problems in their interests too.”
