Paulo Sousa will reportedly no longer be in the stands for Roma’s Champions League match with Porto, as he is ready to sign for Bordeaux.

The Portuguese tactician was expected to attend at the Estadio Do Dragao, a somewhat incongruous presence considering he has been linked with the Roma job.

However, Tuttomercatoweb suggest this evening that Sousa has pulled out of attending the Champions League Round of 16 tie.

The Portuguese tactician was expected to attend at the Estadio Do Dragao, a somewhat incongruous presence considering he has been linked with the Roma job.

However, Tuttomercatoweb suggest this evening that Sousa has pulled out of attending the Champions League Round of 16 tie.

This is because he had talks with Girondins de Bordeaux and has decided he’ll join the Ligue 1 club instead.

Sousa has been offered a three-and-a-half-year contract worth €2.5m per season.
