Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa says ‘whoever comes to the Artemio Franchi will see Giuseppe Rossi start’ ahead of their Serie A clash with Genoa.

The 28-year-old has finally returned from a long-term knee injury that kept him sidelined for the entirety of the 2014-15 season.

Sousa confirmed at today’s Press conference that the Italy international will play from the start against Genoa this weekend.

"The most important news about Giuseppe is that he is well and finding continuity,” Sousa said.

“Giuseppe is working hard but we must be aware that this is a guy who was out for two years and we’re all working together to get him back to 100 per cent.

“Tomorrow whoever comes to the Artemio Franchi will see him starting.

"All intelligent players can play anywhere. I think that Giuseppe can play anywhere because he understands the movement of his teammates and has incredible intelligence.

“I want him to find consistency. We have already worked with him as a centre forward or behind the strikers. We have players who can adapt themselves to a variety of formations.”
