Coach Paulo Sousa admits “there are teams superior to Fiorentina”, but doesn’t rule out a Scudetto challenge.
The Viola lost to Napoli on Sunday, but are still top of Serie A, a position they are occupying for the first time since 1999.
“The quality of our play can make our fans happy,” Sousa told O Jogo in his native Portugal.
“With the chemistry between the team and the fans we can achieve important things this season.

“The Scudetto? Dreaming is the first step to getting what we want. Objectives? I talked about that with the management, but I’ll keep those goals to myself.
“I have to try and improve the team so we can solve the problems which might arise during the game.
“Are we Scudetto favourites? No, there are other clubs who have the history and the investment required to win.
“There are teams superior to Fiorentina, but we’re convinced we can play against anyone. Roma, Napoli and Juventus are the favourites for the title.”
