Reports in France and Italy are claiming Lille forward Victor Osimhen is ready to sign with Napoli, but sources close to the player insists he is still not convinced.
The Partenopei have taken the 21-year-old Nigerian on a tour in Naples and French outlet Le10Sport claims the player has informed LOSC that ‘he wants to play for Napoli’.
The player's representative, Osita Okolo, who is also the Nigerian’s brother-in-law, spoke to Radio Punto Nuovo yesterday and said the trip to Italy had impressed Osimhen.
But Okolo had previously revealed that the ‘racism in Italy’ could ultimately deter the Lille forward.
Contrary to the positive reports in Italy and France, Oma Akatugba from omasports.com has revealed to Football Italia that the player is ‘not too willing’, having talked to Osimhen after his tour of Naples.
“He says he’s not too convinced.”
