Matias Soule will wear the no.18 shirt during his first season at the Stadio Olimpico, the club have confirmed

He had worn the same number during his loan spell with Frosinone last season, and had worn the no. 30 in the 2022-23 season with Juventus and the no.46 for his first two Serie A appearances in 2021-22. 

Soule joins Roma from Juventus

The highly-rated 21-year-old officially completed his transfer from Juventus to Roma in the late afternoon on Tuesday.

Roma have committed to paying Juventus a total package of €30m for the Argentine’s services, made up of €26m up front, plus €4m in bonuses, half of which are ‘easily-achievable’, and the other half more complex. 

Soule has agreed to a five-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2029, worth around €2m per season plus bonuses. 

The talented youngster is in line to be involved with the Roma squad for their upcoming pre-season friendly against Olympiacos on Saturday, and will also travel to the UK for fixtures against Coventry City and Everton next week.
