Soulé: Everyone at Roma believes in Juric

Matias Soulé’s first goal with Roma wasn’t enough to prevent his side from suffering their third defeat from four Serie A games, as Verona defeated them 3-2 at home to pile more misery on Ivan Juric‘s start on the Giallorossi’s bench.

The former Torino manager won just three of seven league games in charge since taking over Daniele De Rossi, and while he’s set to face further pressure in the next days after yet another loss Soulé is adamant that ‘everyone’ in the team believes in ‘his game’.

See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

However, the former Frosinone forward admitted they ‘don’t feel good’ after a match that saw them equalise twice only to eventually concede the hosts a late winner with Abdou Harroui.

Soulé: Roma believe in Juric, my first goal was ‘a liberation’

“We don’t feel good, we had unfavourable moments and unluckily, it didn’t go well,” Soulé said at a post-match press conference, as quoted by TMW.

“Every coach has his own playing style, we must adapt [to Juric’s], we worked many days with him, and everyone believes in his game.”

Soulé joined the Giallorossi from Frosinone last summer in a lucrative deal but has struggled to make his presence felt at the Stadio Olimpico during this start to the season. The Argentinian admitted his first goal was a ‘liberation’, although he hopes to keep delivering to help his side turn the tide.

“It was a liberation for me, now I made a break through, and I hope I can raise the bar to try to turn this bitter situation around.”
