Roma are not worried about Leicester City’s insistence for Matias Soule, believing they have the edge in the race for the Juventus starlet.

The 21-year-old Argentinian forward shined on loan with Frosinone last term, picking up 11 goals and three assists across 39 matches, and the Bianconeri are now ready to cash in, wanting to use his sale to fund their move for Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners.

Juventus set a €35m price tag on Soule and have received offers from both Roma and Leicester City, with the latter proposing a slightly higher fee. On Saturday, reports suggested that the Giallorossi had increased their offer to €28m plus add-ons.

Soule on verge of Roma move

Page four of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Soule has made it clear that he only wants to join Roma this summer, giving Daniele De Rossi’s side an important boost in their fight to beat Leicester to his signature.

The 21-year-old has already agreed to a five-year contract worth around €1.8m net plus add-ons, less than he’d receive in the Premier League, but he is keen to work with Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes.
