Matias Soulé informed Leicester City and Juventus via his agent that he only wants to join Roma, even if the Premier League side is offering more.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, Argentine transfer expert Cesar Luis Merlo and more all have the same story.

They note that Soulé and his representative made clear once again today that it does not matter if Leicester City or any other club is going to offer more for the transfer fee or his wages.

Juventus respect that, but need Roma to bump up their proposal from €28m to at least €30m.

Soulé only wants Roma

He is absolutely convinced that Roma is the right step for his career after speaking directly to coach Daniele De Rossi, fellow Argentines Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes.

It is not about finances or even ambition, so much as the sporting project and also the lifestyle he would enjoy in Rome.

He knows it well, having spent last season on loan at Frosinone, which is based in the outskirts of the Eternal City.

The right-sided winger turned 21 in April and has also been linked with West Ham United and Aston Villa this summer.

  1. I think Soule is a good little player but for me it’s a no brainer. Rome or Dull ol Leicester. It’s nice to see a player want a certain lifestyle in a beautiful city over the £ of EPL.

  2. Unless Roma offer $35M, he should not be sold. He can spend a year in the stands cooling his heels. The club can’t continue having players dictate transfer strategies.
