Torino have agreed a loan deal with option to buy for Ajax and Croatia international left-back Borna Sosa, claim reports in the Netherlands, and he’ll have his medical tomorrow.
The negotiations had been dragging on for a while and seemed to collapse, but over the last few days the two clubs have come back together to discuss the situation.
According to Algemeed Dagblad, they managed to reach an agreement and it will be a loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season.
Sosa is expected to be in Italy as early as tomorrow to undergo medical tests and sign the contracts, with the deal worth around €7m.
Sosa struggled at Ajax
The 26-year-old was dropped to the Ajax reserves, as he was no longer part of their plans after a disappointing debut season in Amsterdam.
He had been purchased from VfB Stuttgart for €8m in September 2023, making 25 competitive appearances for Ajax, contributing five assists.
Part of the Croatia international team at the EURO 2024 tournament, he played six minutes as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Albania.
