Chievo confirm Stefano Sorrentino fractured his nose, hurt his shoulder and suffered whiplash in the 3-2 loss to Juventus.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper was temporarily knocked unconscious in a collision with Cristiano Ronaldo during the closing minutes of last night’s Serie A opener.
He was kept in hospital overnight for tests and a statement was released this morning.

“Chievo Verona announce that Stefano Sorrentino suffered a fractured nose, bruising to the left shoulder and whiplash.
“The nasal fracture was reduced at the A&E of the Borgo Trento Hospital, where Sorrentino was taken for tests after the match.
“The Gialloblu goalkeeper has been released from the hospital after a necessary period of observation.”
