Chievo Verona veteran Stefano Sorrentino still dreams of joining a big club before he hangs up his gloves.

The goalkeeper has been paired with moves for the last two summers, but he’s always ended up staying at the Stadio Bentegodi.

“I’ll be 33 next summer, but I am still ambitious and I continue to aim for the very top,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“Over the past few years I have been very close to joining four or five of the most important clubs in Italy.

“Nevertheless, I am happy to be at Chievo Verona.

“If a club want me then they’ll have to discuss the matter with Chievo President Luca Campedelli first.”

The 32-year-old was targeted by Juventus in the summer of 2010, but the Old Lady opted to sign Marco Storari instead.

Sorrentino, formerly of Torino and AEK Athens, joined the Flying Donkeys in the summer of 2008.
