Chievo Verona’s Stefano Sorrentino would accept a January move to Roma, his representative has noted.

The goalkeeper is wanted by a host of sides this month with outfits such as Palermo, Bologna and Inter all keen.

However, Roma have appeared as an option should they opt to sell Maarten Stekelenburg at some stage over the next few weeks.

Chievo Verona’s Stefano Sorrentino would accept a January move to Roma, his representative has noted.

However, Roma have appeared as an option should they opt to sell Maarten Stekelenburg at some stage over the next few weeks.

“I know that my client is liked by the Giallorossi,” agent Andrea D’Amico told the Gazzetta Giallorossa. “But, as of today, there has been no contact with them.

“Stefano would accept Roma as a destination, but we are working on a daily basis on other avenues too.

“How much will he cost? You will have to ask Chievo President Luca Campedelli…”

Sorrentino, who will soon be 34, is contracted at the Stadio Bentegodi until June 2014.
