Roma are reportedly preparing a new offer for Alexander Sorloth after the Villarreal striker gave the green light for a move to the Italian capital.

The Giallorossi are on the hunt for a new striker following the sale of Andrea Belotti to Como and the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Sardar Azmoun. Tammy Abraham could also be sold to Milan or the Premier League, further increasing the need for reinforcements.

Roma have been active in the outgoing market and have now finalised the sale of Houssem Aouar to Al-Ittihad for around €12m plus add-ons, earning a huge profit on the forward. They are also looking for buyers for Rick Karsdorp, who could leave for circa €3-4m.

In the 2023-24 season, Sorloth scored 26 goals and provided six assists in 41 games across all competitions.
