Frederik Sorensen says he could see a long-term future at Verona after joining the club over the summer.

The 22-year-old was signed on a loan deal from Juventus in August after spending the last two campaigns at Bologna.

“My objective is to do well here,” the Danish defender noted. “I know that Verona have an option to sign me outright and I hope they do.

“Although it is pointless to discuss such things now, I have to admit that I certainly like the idea of remaining here.

“We will see what happens in the future, at the end of the season.”

Sorensen was netted by the Old Lady in 2010 from Lyngby. He was also linked with a possible move to Leeds United in the summer.
