New Atalanta right back Brandon Soppy will have the unique experience of facing the same opponent in back-to-back games with different teams as Milan take on la Dea this weekend.

The 20-year-old French full back officially completed a €10m total move from Udinese to Atalanta today, adding him to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad just in time for the second game of the season. La Dea picked up a confident 2-0 win over Sampdoria in their opening game and they’ll be looking to follow that up with a strong result against the reigning champions Milan.

La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how Soppy is now on the rare list of players who have the opportunity to face the same opponent in consecutive games with two different teams.

The Frenchman played the full 90 minutes of Udinese’s opener against Milan, where he gave away a penalty after a reckless challenge, and he could come off the bench for Atalanta against the Rossoneri on Sunday.
