Yann Sommer has reportedly decided he is willing to join Inter and has agreed upon personal terms with the club according to reports from Fabrizio Romano on Saturday morning.

Inter will now have to negotiate a fee for Sommer with his current club Bayern Munich, whom he joined from Borussia Moenchengladbach just this January from after a season-ending injury to Manuel Neuer.

It has previously been reported that Sommer is available to leave on a release clause should a team pay Bayern the same fee they paid to Gladbach in January.

The Swiss international is part of the Nerazzurri’s contingency plans for when current no.1 Andre Onana joins Manchester United, which is expected to be made official in the coming days.

As per Romano, Inter are still also keen on bringing in 21-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, although negotiations for Sommer are thought to be much further down the line at this stage.

With Sommer and Trubin, Inter believe they have an immediate heir to Onana’s throne in the form of Sommer, whilst Trubin is viewed as a long-term replacement.
