If reports that Wesley Sneijder hasn't even made the podium for the Ballon d'Or are true then it's absurd, according to Inter captain Javier Zanetti.
Sunday's La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Barcelona's trio of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi would be announced as the top three later today.
The winner will be formally unveiled at a ceremony on January 10.
"It's absurd," Zanetti said. "Wesley is a fantastic player. If we won three titles last season, it's also thanks to him.
