Goran Pandev will represent North Macedonia at Euro 2020 and Wesley Sneijder insists the Genoa veteran is ‘vastly under-rated.’

He turns 38 next month and has hinted he could retire after the tournament, although Genoa are trying to convince him to pen a new contract.

“Pandev has a fantastic left foot and a real goal-scoring instinct,” former Inter teammate Sneijder told De Telegraaf.

“I think he’s a wonderful player and what makes him special is he always has a vision of the game and can see the passing channels to send his teammates on goal.

“He’s also a great person, he loves football and in my view has been vastly under-rated throughout his career. He’s ruthless in the box.”

Pandev scored seven goals with three assists in 29 Serie A appearances this season.
