Sneijder hits out at Benitez

Inter's chief playmaker Wesley Sneijder has criticised Rafael Benitez for trying to change his position.

Benitez was sacked in December after demanding that the club make four or five new signings.

He has since complained about not being able to control some of his players or the club's medical staff.

Interviewed by Algemeen Dagblad, Sneijder said: "I got frustrated under Benitez… He wanted me to play as a striker.

"Leonardo works in the same way that Jose Mourinho did. I feel better now."
