Slovenian referee Matej Jug has been assigned to Roma’s UEFA European Conference League play-off against Trabzonspor.
The first leg will be played at the Senol Gunes Stadium in Trabzon on Thursday August 19, kicking off at 18.30 UK time.
UEFA have assigned Jug to this game, assisted by Manuel Vidali and Robert Vukan, with Nejc Kajtazovic as the fourth official.
There is no VAR in the UEFA European Conference League.
The second leg at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome is on Thursday August 26, kicking off at 18.00 UK time.
Italian clubs have a good record with Jug, as they have won all four games officiated by the Slovenian referee.
That includes Roma’s 5-0 Europa League victory over CFR Cluj in November 2020.
Turkish sides have not fared as well, managing only two wins, a draw and two losses, with Trabzonspor beaten 1-0 by Getafe in the Europa League in September 2019.
