According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma have opened talks with West Ham for Gianluca Scamacca.

The Giallorossi are looking for a replacement for Tammy Abraham who sustained a knee injury in the last game of the season against Spezia last week.

Scamacca is also dealing with a knee injury but underwent surgery in April, so he will return to action earlier than Abraham.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma have opened preliminary talks with West Ham aiming to secure the striker’s signature on loan with an option to buy.

Scamacca is not Roma’s only option to replace Abraham. Spezia striker Mbala N’Zola is also on the club’s radars and so is former Inter captain Mauro Icardi who will return to PSG after a one-year spell with Galatasaray where he scored 23 goals in 26 appearances, winning the Turkish league.

Scamacca has also been linked with a move to Juventus and Milan. The Italy international joined West Ham from Sassuolo last summer scoring eight goals in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
