According to Sky Sport Italia, Matteo Pessina to Monza is a done deal and the Atalanta midfielder will undergo his medical with the Biancorossi this week.

The Italy international will reportedly return to his former club on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €15m if Monza gain survival. He is expected to undergo his medical on Wednesday.

Adriano Galliani is probably the busiest director in Italian football at the moment as Monza have already completed several signings with Stefano Sensi, Andrea Ranocchia, Alessio Cragno, and Andrea Carboni joining the club.

Pessina is the only product of Monza academy playing in Serie A and was one of Galliani’s primary targets also for this reason.

  1. Amazing Monza!!! Two excellent midfielders on their day (Sensi and Pessina), very good keeper, and possibly Icardi coming in??? Monza could even challenge for European places with a first 11 they’ve building!!!

  2. Great for Monza! Pessina has a very good quality I was expecting Juve could sign him simce he is better than all Juve midfielders other than Locatelli.

  3. This is fantastic to see Monza buying Italians! Really want Sensi to do well this year and get his body right. I see alot of Xavi in him when he’s on song. Definitely NT worthy when he’s hitting his straps.

Serie A needs more of what Monza are doing at the present moment!
