According to Sky Sport, the Serie A side have also reached an agreement for McTominay’s compatriot Billy Gilmour of Brighton, but his transfer remains on hold, so Napoli are also trying to shake hands with the Red Devils.

According to Di Marzio, there’s a chance to see both Scottish midfielders move to the Stadio Maradona if Napoli sell Michael Folorunsho and other players who are not part of Antonio Conte’s plans.

In the meantime, the Italian tactician is waiting to reunite with Romelu Lukaku as Napoli have reached an agreement to sign the Belgian striker on a permanent €30m deal from Chelsea.
