Milan full-back Alessandro Florenzi struggles with an injury in the left knee and will reportedly miss the next match against Atalanta and the Italy games in October.

Sky Sport Italia reports the former Roma full-back, who joined the Diavolo this summer, will undergo a medical exam at the Villa Stuard clinic today.

The report claims he will then decide if he should rest or proceed with a small arthroscopic operation, and the defender will surely miss the next match against the Orobici this weekend.

Florenzi will not be able to respond to Italy CT Roberto Mancini’s call up for the Nations League games.

The 30-year-old, who spent one season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain in 2020-21, continues to struggle with the knee injury that kept him out of the League match against Spezia.

Brahim Diaz, on the other hand, has not suffered a serious injury, while Simon Kjaer should be back in contention for the weekend.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be out until after the international break, but has been called up by Sweden.

  1. Ma dai 😂😂😂 The poor guy barely played for all of 15 minutes and injured? ffs. It’s like they’re all made of chocolate. How many more injuries between now and Sunday?

  2. Honestly we may as well field an under 19s team, take the L and focus on next week. The lads will be so deflated after two high energy performances with 0 points.

  3. We need a squad with 50 players. Each player will play 30 minutes of any given match and sit the rest of that game plus the next one out through injury.

  4. I’m so hacked off with the injury prone player, Ibra, Florenci I’m surprised Giroud isnt injured but there time for that to happen yet
AC need to go back to buying younger players can’t see these 3 players being much help,

  5. @acm one thing is to have not so young players and another is to have two 9’s of 40 and 35 years old. Pellegri I think will have more than one chance to rediscover his form. And Florenzi needs to do a lot to be purchased, otherwise he will be shipped back to Trigoria

  6. Yeah. Trouble is, Pellegri, in his short career has been more injury prone than Zlatan and Giroud put together.
