Sky Sport Italia is reporting Milan have decided to sell Gianluigi Donnarumma, despite the goalkeeper not asking to leave.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have opted to cash in now as Donnarumma has two years left on his contract and will not sign another.

Furthermore, the Rossoneri have a need to balance the books for the purposes of Financial Fair Play.

Di Marzio explains negotiations are already under way with Paris Saint-Germain, whose sporting director Leonardo – formerly of the Diavolo – told his old club he was hoping to make the 20-year-old his first signing.

Milan would value the Italy international at €50m, and PSG have already offered €20m plus Alphonse Areola.

Although they like Areola, the French giants consider him to be worth €30m – which seems to be excessive in the eyes of the San Siro club.

As for Donnarumma himself, it is claimed he did not request a transfer but is open to joining the Ligue 1 champions.
