Milan‘s meeting in Belgium with Club Brugge over a deal for Charles De Ketelaere has ended with no agreement found, according to reports in Italy.
The 21-year-old is a target for the Rossoneri and, despite reports of interest from Premier League clubs, it appears he prefers a move to San Siro.
Sky Sport Italia report a meeting on Wednesday with Brugge officials ended positively but without an agreement.
The report suggests that, despite not striking a deal, the meeting was “cordial” and there is hope on both sides that an agreement can be found.
Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massaro are set to return to Italy later on Wednesday but talks will continue, the report added.
Recent reports have suggested Milan face competition from Premier League duo Leeds United and Everton, who would be willing to pay a higher fee, but the midfielder would prefer a move to San Siro.

This was known before the meeting took place, it was never going to be agreed today. The takeover isn’t even expected to complete until September so expectations on transfer fees need to be managed. So, to quote Rosario, calm down.
