Manchester United are in talks with Paulo Dybala’s agents over a potential free transfer, according to reports in Italy.

Reports in recent days suggesting the Premier League side could turn to Dybala should Cristiano Ronaldo leave this summer.

The Portugal forward has not reported back for the club’s pre-season and reports in the UK media are that he is keen to leave just 12 months after joining.

It appears any exit for Ronaldo would be late in the transfer window and unplanned, leaving United with little time to find a replacement – and Sky Italia report they are in talks with Dybala’s agent.

The Argentina forward had appeared set to join Inter but that potential move appears to have cooled in recent weeks and Nerazzurri director Beppe Marotta said on Tuesday the club are content with their attacking options.

United were heavily linked with a move for Dybala in the summer of 2019 when Romelu Lukaku left for his first spell with Inter.

  1. This just gets worse and worse. Wanting £10m a year with Juve.. to £6m with Inter to No UCL with Utd. He’s better off going to Athletico Madrid.

  2. A prove that he is not as good as he thinks, his club performance was getting worse for the last 5 years

  3. I think Dybala become prisoner of his greedy agent. Believe Dybala could go for salary decrease in order to play in Juve, but agent demanded salary increase and moreover huge commission. Same was issue with Roma when they have approached Dybala’s agent

  4. Hung out by Inter. Encouraged him to leave then did nothing. Apparently his entourage are the issue. Shame for the player now. Loved Juve apparently but wanted to leave for Inter. Now be offered around in desperation.

  5. A tragic case of what if. Before the injuries, he looked a top player. But ego, bad agent advice and playing twice under PhD Max finished him. In fairness, Sarri got the best out of him, but someone will pick him up. No choice but to lower his demands. More importantly, it will take lots of therapy to get over the ancient Latin manuscripts he was forced to read, chapter and verse, authored by Cowboy Max.
