Sky Sport Italia confirms Romelu Lukaku hasn’t replied to Inter directors and teammates, with Juventus ready to hijack the Nerazzurri’s bid for the Chelsea forward.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Lukaku’s lawyer Sebastien Ledure hasn’t been in touch with Inter and Chelsea with the Nerazzurri ready to secure the striker’s signature for circa €35m.

Sky Sport Italia adds that even Lukaku hasn’t replied to Inter directors and teammates lately, upsetting the club who are ready to sign him after André Onana’s sale to Manchester United for €50m plus add-ons.

The Italian broadcasters claim the Belgian is tempted by an offer from Juventus, who have matched Inter’s bid for the 30-year-old. According to the report, the Nerazzurri have offered €35m plus €5m add-ons, while the Bianconeri’s bid is set at €37.5m plus €2.5m add-ons.

However, Juventus are still not ready to make a formal offer given that they need to sell Dusan Vlahovic first. The Bianconeri have reportedly told Chelsea that they need time until August 4 to sell the Serbian, but the Blues want to sell Lukaku earlier.

Inter are now unsure about signing Lukaku unless the striker changes his attitude over the next few days.

Il Corriere dello Sport reported earlier this week that Lukaku had already reached a principle of agreement with Juventus.

  1. Lakaka to rubentus? Fine. He was not the striker who wins the big finales anyway. Loser in EL and CL final 🤷‍♂️
