Sky Sport Italia claims Juventus have reached an agreement to extend Nicolò Fagioli’s contract until June 2028 despite his recent ban for betting.

The 22-year-old admitted to gambling on football but cooperated with the relevant authorities during the investigation and sought help to treat his gambling addiction.

Juventus have been supporting their promising midfielder in the last few weeks. Fagioli has continued training with the rest of the team and the club haven’t cut his salary.

They’ll do even more as, according to Sky Sport Italia, the Bianconeri have now reached an agreement to extend the midfielder’s contract until June 2028. Fagioli’s current €1m-a-year deal runs out in 2026.

Sky Sport Italia hasn’t revealed the figures behind Fagioli’s new deal at the Allianz Stadium but claims it is an ‘economically important’ renewal.

Fagioli is a product of the Juventus academy and made his senior debut in 2020-21 under Andrea Pirlo. He has made 45 appearances with the Old Lady, scoring three goals.
