Thohir’s Napoli counterpart Aurelio De Laurentiis is still reeling from losing Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus and is determined to make a statement of intent ahead of the new season.
Despite this and the fact that Icardi is said to be keen on a move to Campania, it appears the Azzurri will have to up their offer still further if they are to land their number one transfer target.
