Inter have a verbal agreement in place with Bayern Munich and France international defender Benjamin Pavard according to Sky Sport Deutschland, having submitted an official bid to the Bundesliga champions earlier on Thursday evening.

According to reports from Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, Inter’s offer to Bayern stands close to €30m when all bonuses and add-ons are included, slightly higher than the previously reported figure of €25m.

Bayern have reportedly not rejected Inter’s proposal, but are still hoping to receive slightly more for the 27-year-old. Previous reports suggest that a figure between €35m-€40m would satisfy the Bavarians.

Pavard, who is now into the final year of his contract with Bayern, would be the first choice option for Inter in terms of available defenders on the market.

The former World Cup winner has informed Bayern’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen of his desire to leave the club this summer, and coach Thomas Tuchel has now also been informed of the situation.

Inter have already brought in defender Yann Aurel Bisseck from Aarhus this summer, but having lost Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain, the Nerazzurri would still like to provide Simone Inzaghi with another senior centre-back option.
