Lorenzo Insigne has not agreed a new Napoli contract and could be sold for €30m, so Sky Sport Italia report Inter are ready to make an approach.

The Italy international’s current deal is due to expire in June 2022 and negotiations for a renewal have been not so much slow as non-existent.

His agent visited the training camp today, but local sources report he did not discuss Insigne, focusing instead largely on other representatives under his guidance.

A meeting might’ve occurred later, in which RAI Sport claim Napoli merely asked if there were any offers.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis was also at the Castel di Sangro camp, but again did not speak directly to Insigne or the agent.

Sky Sport Italia suggest that Napoli would be prepared to sell their captain and one of the only homegrown players in the squad for just €25-30m.

That is less than Lazio are asking for Joaquin Correa, who is the first choice for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

Gianluca Di Marzio now claims Inter are giving some thought to going for Insigne, who turned 30 in June just before winning UEFA EURO 2020 with Italy.

Last season, he found the net 19 times and provided 11 assists in 48 competitive games for Napoli, who missed out on the Champions League.
