Sky Sport Italia claims Paulo Dybala will surely miss games against Sheriff and Bologna but could return against Napoli on December 23.

The Argentinean was forced off the pitch in the first half of Roma‘s 1-1 draw against Fiorentina on Sunday with a suspected flexor injury.

Sky Sport Italia reports Dybala’s injury is not as severe as initially feared. Reporter Angelo Mangiante claims there ‘seems to be’ no lesion in the striker’s left flexor.

Mangiante hints that Dybala stopped playing before avoiding a more serious issue knowing his injury history.

The Argentinean striker will undergo further medical tests in the coming hours.

According to the report, Dybala will miss Roma’s next two games against Sheriff in the Europa League and Bologna in Serie A, but could be back against Napoli on December 23.

Romelu Lukaku will also be out of action against Bologna having received a red card in Sunday’s game with Fiorentina.

Dybala shared an Instagram post following Roma’s draw last night, where he did not mention his injury.

“Sorry for the result, but we keep our heads held high and focus on the next game. Always United! Daje Roma,” wrote the Argentinean.
