Sky Sport Italia reports Fiorentina have reached an agreement to sign Davide Faraoni from Hellas Verona on loan until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old is set to join the Tuscans on a temporary transfer until June 30, 2024. According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Tuscans have reached a full agreement with the versatile Italian full-back and the Scaligeri.
Faraoni will battle with Michael Kayode for a starting spot as a right full-back following Dodo’s knee surgery in October.
The Brazilian defender is not expected to return to action before the end of the campaign.
Faraoni has made 11 appearances with Hellas Verona this season and scored 19 goals in 163 matches with the Gialloblu since his transfer from Crotone in 2019.
Faraoni is the third player sold by Hellas Verona in the January transfer window after Isak Hien, who joined Atalanta, and Filippo Terracciano, who signed for Milan.
Martin Hongla will also leave the Stadio Bentegodi this month, signing for La Liga side Granada.
