Sky Sport Italia confirm Milan have made contact with Romelu Lukaku’s entourage to sound out a potential transfer over the summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Thursday morning that the Rossoneri could use the income from Sandro Tonali’s sale to Newcastle United to buy Davide Frattesi and Lukaku, who will return to Chelsea after spending one season on loan at Inter.

Frattesi and Lukaku would cost €40m each.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Alessandro Sugoni said during their transfer show on Thursday afternoon that Milan have effectively spoken to Lukaku’s entourage about a potential transfer to the other side of San Siro.

Inter can’t afford to sign Lukaku permanently and have been in talks with Chelsea over a new loan deal.

It remains to be seen if Lukaku would agree to join Inter’s city rivals, given that he’s pushing to stay with the Nerazzurri and forced Chelsea to loan him back to Inter last summer after just one season at Stamford Bridge.

  1. I don’t get all the hype about Lukaku from both Milan teams. Yeah, he was very good under Conte, but always been a hot-and-cold player.

  2. Lukaku will keep pushing for Inter.
Milan would be smarter to sign Thuram on a free – got resale value and they mean business after Maldini left.

  3. Milan are trolling. Imagine if he actually goes to Milan despite all what happened with Inter and what he said many times. Especially now with Dzeko and Correa leaving he can basically be the main player to partner with Lautaro even if new players arrive.
