Sky Sport Italia reports Brest have decided to keep Romain Faivre and Milan must look elsewhere.

The midfielder refused to take part in Brest’s match last weekend, trying to force a move to the Italian giants.

The Ligue 1 club then confirmed it was ‘in negotiations’ with the Rossoneri after rejecting the initial offer from Milan.

“But we are also disappointed with the attitude of the player,” said Brest director of sport Gregory Lorenzi.

The transfer rebel allegedly decided 10 minutes before the game to not travel with the team and will be sanctioned by the club.

Sky reports Milan offered €10m plus bonuses, but the club has decided to reject the offer and the Rossoneri must move on.

Milan were waiting for the reply from Brest, but Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Ligue 1 side have decided not to sell the attacking midfielder.

The Rossoneri have been linked with other players should Faivre not arrive and Aleksey Miranchuk of Atalanta has emerged as a possible alternative. Adam Ounas and Junior Messias are also mentioned as potential targets.
