Skriniar wants to end Inter drought

Milan Skriniar was named Slovakian Player of the Year, but admits he wants silverware for his team. ‘Inter haven’t won anything for 11 years.’

The centre-back spoke to Pravda after he was named Best Slovakian Player of the Year.

“If I had been able to vote, I probably would’ve gone for Juraj Kucka. Despite Parma not doing very well right now, he is still one of the best players,” said Skriniar.

“Inter haven’t won anything for 11 years, so there’s a really strong atmosphere around the club right now. I would love to win my first trophy for the team.

“It would help if the fans were able to come to the stadium, but we already felt their presence before the big games with Juventus and Milan, there were 10,000 people outside the stadium waiting for us.

“The fans are incredibly close to the team, so passionate.”
