Inter defender Milan Skriniar sent a message to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen saying he hopes the striker will be ‘on the pitch soon’ after their clash of heads sent the Nigerian to hospital.
Napoli confirmed Osimhen has been discharged from hospital today, after a complex surgery of ‘six plaques and 18 screws’ to repair the damage.
Skriniar, who played when Inter won 2-0 over Shakhtar Dontesk, appeared on Inter’s official Instagram account to send a message to Osimhen.
“Hi Victor,” Skriniar said in a video on Inter’s social media account. “Good luck, I hope to see you on the pitch soon. Forza, champ.”
Napoli also thanked Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and Dr. Piero Volpi for their assistance after the accidental clash of heads in the big game between the Serie A giants.
The Partenopei thanked ‘Inter and in particular CEO Giuseppe Marotta and Dr. Piero Volpi, in addition to the staff of the Niguardia di Milano, for the precious and immediate collaboration on the occasion of the injury of Victor Osimhen’.
Napoli will be without Osimhen for at least 90 days, meaning the Nigeria international will also miss out on the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
