Skriniar latest: Inter prepared for new PSG bid, Chelsea’s stance revealed

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG are ready to submit a new offer for Milan Skriniar, while Chelsea are unwilling to match Inter‘s asking price.

The Slovakia international has been linked with a move to France for the entire summer, but the two clubs have yet to shake hands on the defender’s transfer fee.

The Serie A giants need a big-money sale to balance the books but have rejected all offers from France. PSG’s latest proposal was €60m plus various add-ons. This is still not enough for the Nerazzurri, who demand at least €70m for their star defender.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter directors have been informed that PSG could soon make a new offer for Skriniar, while Chelsea are no longer in the race and are looking for cheaper targets.

Inter directors are prepared for PSG’s new offer, although Beppe Marotta denied at the end of July that he’d sell the former Sampdoria star.

According to the report, if Inter end up selling Skriniar, they’d try to get Francesco Acerbi from Lazio or Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund. The latter is no longer part of the Bundesliga giants’ plans as he is unwilling to extend his contract expiring in 2023.

The 27-year-old is reportedly available for €20m, but his price tag will decrease before the end of the transfer window.

Likewise, Lazio want to sell Acerbi after signing three new centre-backs in the summer. Simone Inzaghi is on good terms with the Italy international, who is a cheaper option than Akanji.
