Skriniar was speaking to Slovakian magazine HatTrick about Inter's prospects in the Champions League this season.

The Nerazzurri trail Dortmund by three points going into the final two group games, but the defender is refusing to give up on the knockout stages.

"I am happy with the group, personally speaking, because we play football to play against the best teams.

"In this group there are two very good teams in Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, who have been at the top of the European game for years.

"Now I can't wait to play against them. Obviously it was bad drawing the first game against Slavia Prague and then losing to Barcelona.

"Perhaps it would have been easier to face lesser sides, but even then, sides like Zenit St. Petersburg, Shakhtar Donetsk and Slavia Prague all have a certain quality, which Slavia demonstrated against us in September.

"I know that it will be difficult, but I believe we will make it to the last 16. And if I must guess the final positions of the teams in the group, I say: 1. Barcelona, 2. Inter, 3. Borussia Dortmund, 4. Slavia Prague."

"I believe in going through, that's what we all want and that's our goal."

Inter face Slavia Prague next week before their final group fixture in December, at home to Barcelona.
