The midfielder completed his transfer from IFK Norrkoping on Monday, although it had been delayed by a few days, reportedly due to a dispute over his agent’s commission.

“The days were long when I was waiting for news, but I was always certain that I’d come to Brescia,” said the 25-year-old Finland international in his press conference.

“It’s an honour for me to play for Brescia, as I used to watch Serie A when I was a kid and remember Roberto Baggio and Pep Guardiola playing for this club.

“I see myself more as a midfielder and above all a trequartista. I talked to the coach about my position, then it’s up to him to judge my fitness levels and when I’ll be ready to play.

“It’s true I haven’t played for a while, but I have been training regularly. I love a challenge and can’t wait to get started.”
