Juventus Training Winter Jacket

It could be a long, cold winter for Juventus, not to mention fans of the Old Lady – results on the pitch are not what is expected of the club that has dominated Serie A for much of the past decade. Max Allegri has been asked to roll back the years, but that’s proving a difficult task. From the very top of Serie A, Juventus now find themselves fighting to just ensure a Champions League place.

If the action on the pitch isn’t going to keep supporters blood pumping then a jacket designed to be light enough to wear during training but warm enough for the winter months might be what’s needed. That and a couple of new midfielders for Allegri to rebuild his team around, but the Fanatics Cyber Monday sale doesn’t stretch quite that far.

AS Roma Breathe Training Top – Black

It’s been a mixed start at Roma for Jose Mourinho – on the fringes of the Champions League places as Christmas approaches, but with an embarrassing defeat to Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League living long in the memory. Mourinho’s tenure was predicted to end in glory or disaster, and that still looks like being the case.

But one unqualified success for the capital club is their kits, training gear and merchandise; Milan might be the home of fashion in Italy but Roma are the best-dressed team in Serie A this season, and this training top is proof. Bold colours and a geometric pattern mean that however the Mourinho saga ends, Roma fans can look smart as they watch it unfold.

Fiorentina Training Jersey – Violet

There’s no mistaking the colours of Fiorentina for any other club – there truly is only one Viola. That wasn’t always the case, however, as Fiorentina began life playing in the red and white of the city of Florence. The story goes that they switched to purple out of necessity when the colours of their red and white kit ran in the wash – true or not, Fiorentina’s purple is iconic.

Fiorentina are a famous, decorated club but it’s their colours that are best known around the world. Plenty of other teams play in the black-and-white of Juventus, the blue-and-black of Inter and the red-and-black of Milan but there is only one Viola, and just the colours are enough to stand out in a crowd.

Inter Milan Zip Thru Hoodie – Black

Hoodies are arguably one of the greatest clothing innovations in history – is there a more comfortable thing to wear on a cold winter’s day? Sweatshirts are fine but hoodies have them beat in two key areas – pockets and (clue’s in the name) hoods. Somewhere to put your keys, phone or, when it’s cold, your hands, and something to keep the rain off your head. It’s a perfect arrangement.

This Inter hoodie with zipped pockets is ideal then for Nerazzurri fans to stay a bit warmer through the winter. It’s in classic Inter colours and carries the updated club crest but no other club branding, so it’s a subtle way to show your support for your team and stay warm at the same time.

Juventus Anthem Jacket – Grey

Anthem jackets are a relatively recent addition to a team’s pre-match routine. Back in the day they’d come out for a warm-up 45 minutes before kick-off, disappear again with 15 minutes to go and listen to the coach’s final instructions before returning to the pitch, ready to go. The Champions League changed that and anthems – previously the preserve of international football only – have now spread across the domestic game.

At least when the Juventus players stand to attention before kick-off, they do so wearing as nice a jacket as this one. The grey colour might not be part of the Bianconeri’s traditional look but it works, and the yellow detailing is a nice touch to brighten things up. Fans might not have many anthems to stand for but this jacket will stand up to any occasion.

AC Milan Pre Match Jacket-Off White

Which Serie A club is king of the pre-match jackets? Club loyalties aside, it’s hard to choose between Juventus’ anthem jacket and this white offering from Milan. They may be the Rossoneri, but Milan do white very well – their 2021-22 away shirt is another example.

A lightweight jacket with a black chevron and red manufacturers’ logo and club badge, those little details mean this is still a Rossoneri item in its own way. Worn by the Milan players prior to kick-off, it also carries an air of authenticity about it – and it’s part of the makers’ initiative to turn plastic waste into products, so not only is it white, it’s green too.
