Authorities in Naples have arrested six Napoli ultras who allegedly attacked Ajax fans during their Champions League group stage clash back in October.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how a number of Dutch fans were attacked in the Campania capital on October 11 and 12 last year, when they’d travelled for the away match in the Champions League group stages. One Ajax supporter was stabbed, forcing medical intervention.

Six Napoli ultras from the Masseria group were arrested this morning, with two being sent to jail and four being put under house arrest. They’ve been accused of criminal association, carrying a weapon and aggravated assault.

Two of the six ultras arrested today were tracked down by police in Genoa and San Benedetto del Tronto, where they were away on business.

At the same time, searches were also carried out against three other individuals, two of which are members of the Masseria ultra group.
